My friends and I are using AI in ways we never thought possible.  First, I had a thirty year old hinge that broke on a cabinet.  My friend said to upload photographs of it on ChatGPT app and it will find it.  Yes, the exact hinge was found on a vintage hinge website. In minutes!

Another friend used ChatGPT to evaluate her wardrobe and clean out her closet.  Here is her interactive chat for you to follow with ease:

TAKE PHOTOS TO EVALUATE

Photos of the clothes in the closet is the most useful way to evaluate a wardrobe. Breaks down things in a really practical way:

Ask whether the piece is currently in style, timeless, or dated.

Ask if it works specifically for your shape, proportions, age

Ask how to modernize it

When you take photos to send:

·       Stand naturally, front view is most helpful, side view is a bonus)

·       Include full body (head to toe, if possible)

·       Good lighting, minimal clutter behind you

·       2-5 outfits to start is perfect

“ChatGPT: I’ll give you honest, constructive feedback—but always with solutions, not just criticism.”

TIPS TO GET THE BEST FEEDBACK

Best way is to send photos of yourself wearing the clothes which helps figure out and ask to evaluate:

·       Body shape (clearer in photos)

·       Whether each outfit is flattering for your proportions

·       If something feels “off,” why (length, cut, fabric, styling—Not just “dated”)

·       Easy adjustments like hemming, sleeve tweaks, or better pairings

·       What silhouettes will consistently make you look modern and polished

Include shoes and accessories if you want a full outfit feedback.

Give your age range and lifestyle (casual, social, work, etc.) so response can be tailored to you, not just trends.

NEXT STEP:  Ask so it will  sort everything into clear buckets.

For each item, I’ll tell you:

·       Keep (works well on you right now)

·       Keep with tweaks (hemming, better shoes, different top, etc.)

·       Outdated or unflattering—donate

·       Almost there but not quite (tricky ones to decide together)
